Photographs & Details from Presentations and Finals Day 2024
Between the AGM and the Handbooks meeting, the NEMWCL was saddened by the passing of President Dr. Malcolm Kennedy CBC, aged 90. His tremendous contribution to the growth of the League since the early 1970s as player, umpire and League President was applauded at the Handbooks meeting in March. The League had a successful season with 31 teams competing in four divisions. For the first division only a 30 yards fielding restriction was introduced and well received. Apart from the second week of cup ties the weather was favourable and most games were played on schedule. Finals Day was moved to Cowgate owing to problems at Whitley Bay CC. Play-cricket was more fully utilised and information gathered more easily for the weekly Newsletters. Both the Finals Day and Presentations evening went well and reports with statistics and photographs are available.
