Minutwes of the April Meeting

Twenty five (of 31) teams attended the meeting and the full adoption of play-cricket for recording results was endorsed. Now we await the availability of some cricket pitches so the season can commence!

Cup Fixtures and the April Meeting

The Management Committee are only too aware of the situation with waterlogged grounds. We have been exchanging thoughts on how best to deal with this extreme situation. The recommendation, to be discussed further at the meeting on Wednesday 17th, is that the Cup Round 1 games be postponed to the scheduled week set aside for Round 2, i.e. week commencing Monday May 27th.

In the interim, priority will be given to scheduled league fixtures so as to reduce pressure on grounds, especially where grounds are shared. However, if cup ties can possibly be played earlier than May 27th then this would be good and reports of results would be welcomed.

Two umpires have joined the Panel and hope to be called up when games can actually be played! Jon Davison has a new mobile number 07503 758 383.

All teams are expected to be represented for collection of Handbooks and Team Cards. Shahnawaz Awan will go over the revised procedures now based on full use of play-cricket.

The scheduled dates for the first round of the Optimum Cup should be set up by mext Monday in the HOPE of getting started w/c 22nd April.

Optimum Sports Cup Draw

The draw was made tonight by the Management Committee and is well balanced between the top teams. Grounds should now be booked and opponents informed of the evening fot the game in week commencing 22nd April. Revised draw has 28 teams.

The League Meeting will be held on Wednesday 17th April at Blue Flames. Agenda to follow.
