So far we’ve been delighted by the high turn out at nets, and of course, hope to see you all at future sessions (see the attached file 'nets' below). Fixtures are soon to be finalised (the draft list is available at http://www.midweekcricket.com/fixtures.asp?id=15) and there will be over 25 games this season.
A band of brothers (from all Sage departments), together, we have endured side strain, bruises, shoulder strain and of course, tendon strain in the search for perfection (and that’s just our player/manager, Chris Harrison). Have you noticed how much the tendon in your bowling forearm hurts for the first session, but seems to work ok in the bar afterwards?
Ken has put us all through our paces, as we shake off the winter rust and the cricket has seen a fair share of mistimed shots, wides, metal, no balls and tantalising glimpses of sublime skill and beauty (including a pound a pint offer).
Special mention must go to Matty Slater with his lethal and until now secret doorsra delivery, which, in his delivery stride, smashed the light directly above the bowlers end – unplayable.
See you at the next session.

Percy Main CC are on the look out for players, and as a club who shares their ground, we are more than happy to help.
If you fancy playing for them contact David Archbald at davidarchbold@msn.com.
Just remember though, if a Percy Main fixture clashes with Sage, your priority is dark green!

Hello All, Cheers for keeping me informed on Sage CC news, really appreciate it.
Just to let you know at the weekend Vanessa and I booked flights for our 1st visit back home!! We fly into Newcastle Sat 4th November and fly out Mon 20th November.
It would be great if we could organise a Sage CC night out so I could come along and see everyone? A midweek night will probs be best for me as I'm going to be seeing so many people and all my friends are already booking up weekend nights as we speak :-)
Good luck with nets it all sounds like things are going great. I have to say I'm gutted I'm missing out!!
Take Care, Andrew

To ensure that all players who registered an interest, receive an opportunity to practice, we have arranged the following:-
Players who can only attend on Monday nights will be split into two groups. Each group will then attend nets on alternate Mondays. In effect this means you will attend a net once every two weeks. We will keep an eye on demand and review this regularly.
Players who can attend on Sundays will have net sessions every week. In addition, people who can attend Sunday sessions on an ad hoc basis can simply turn up for a net.
For information regarding which group you are in for nets, please open the attached document.
