Durham's marketing manager Andrew Jarvis said: "Sales for this match have been phenomenal since we went on sale late last year.
"There is a huge demand for international cricket in the region and people are definitely making an effort to make sure they don't miss out on tickets for what should be a hugely exciting game.
Durham chief executive David Harker added: "The appetite of spectators for international cricket in the region has been fuelled by England's Ashes win and tickets have been selling incredibly well.
"It will be fantastic to see England, once again, playing in front of a packed Riverside Stadium, providing further evidence that Durham can host the biggest matches in world cricket."
