Oceans CC are the current leaders of division 5.Oceans CC comfortably beat Sparta last night at Cochrane Park in the most convincing ways possible.There was a lot of tension before this huge match, and the addition of the neutral umpires only added to the excitement.Sparta won the toss and elected to bat in a 16 overs match on a beautiful looking batting wicket.They were in all sorts of trouble early on, as an unbelievable spell from A.Rahim and R.Rian left them reeling on 64/7 off 12 overs.However, they somewhat recovered brilliantly with G.Roe 42 not out and Wilf 29 not out helping them to reach a score off 128/7 off there 16 overs.In reply, Oceans immediately swung the momentum of the match back they way thanks to some clean and brutal hitting from U.Aziz.He finished on 62 after sharing a excellent opening wicket stand of 74 in 8 overs with R.Rian who played an anchor role.This partnership really demoralised the Sparta spirit, and Oceans got home comfortably after finishing on 129/5 after just 14 overs.It was a comprehensive win for Oceans, and they now deservedly lead at the top.
