Sonu shocked by defeat

After a poor showing last night against Belmont, Sonu has urged his batsmen to take on more responsibility.

'We played irresponsible shots at the top of the order and should do a lot better. Our batsmen literally gave the game to Belmont early on and it wasn't like they worked hard for their wickets. We were too aggressive and should have rotated the strike a lot more and build partnerships. The lads are very disappointed and its a shock because we have batted really well all season. Credit must be given to Kurt who played intelligently and if it wasn't for him then it could have been more embarrassing. Hopefully in our next game we can regroup and give a better account of ourselves. I felt our bowling suffered because of this but credit must be given to Belmont. They outplayed us in all departments. We are still top of the division but its important to finish the season well and that's what we will aim to do in our next game.
