Home Victory against Kirkwood.

Rowlands at last played their first home game of the season. An understrength Kirkwood team won the toss and batted with typical aggresion. Despite losing Sandhu early on lbw to Dave Charlton, Malik 46 and Amrit Crawford 50 not out battled through against the impressive bowling of Dave 1-19 and Andy Horner 0-22, then accelerated against new recruit, young Chris Chan 1-31 and Don Catley 1-35 to reach almost a 100 stand. The score crept up to 120-3 against imressive fielding, especially from Tim Stonock and Adrian Conway.

The reply was clear cut! Matt Hynd 33 not out played improtant second fiddle to the hard hitting Tim Stonock 77 not out in a convincing undefeated partnership to secure a valued victory.
