Rowlands move into the last 8.

Rowlands CA defeated Gateshead Cavailiers by 20 runs in a close encounter. Rowlands batted first and progressed steadily despite the early loss of Tim Stonnoch. There where good contributions from Shaun Collins 33 and debutants Martin Clee 26 Not Out and Disco Dyer 29. This took Rowlands to a competitive 126/4 in 16 overs which looked to be a little bit light. However some good early bowling and fielding restricted Gateshead early on and they eventually finished short with Dave Charlton being the pick of the bowling taking 3-23 and Dave Purvis 1-18. This sets Rowlands up for a 1/4 final game against either Bar BHT or Sage.
