Rowlands win high scoring encounter despite the rain.

Rowlands CA completed a rain interrupted victory against ORP. Batting first on another gloomy evening Rowlands CA scored an impressive 192/2 in 14 overs with Tim Stonnock again leading the way with 64 from only 25 balls including 4 x 4s and 7 x 6s! Nick Tomlinson also batted well for 56 from 49 balls and not to be out done simon Curtis finished 40 not out and Paul Muchall 20 not out on debut.
ORP made a good attempt at the score however the rain eventually got the better of the game and forced the game to be called off with ORP 84 for 2 from 8.3 overs. With Dave Purvis collecting one wicket thanks to a well taken catch from Adrian Conway at long on and Dave Charlton took the other wicket with thanks to a brilliant one handed catch from Tim. The rain prevented ORP last dash at the score and Rowalnds a chance to pick up a couple of bowling points. However with Rowlands ahead on scoring rate a 7 point victory was claimed in the rain.
