Fenham arrived late and were asked to field. James (4 fours and 2 sixes) and Shaun (6 fours and 2 sixes) each scored 50's before retiring with exhaustion. Roy came in and hit 18 not out in 1s and 2s with Ross hitting out a quick 23 (3 fours and a six) before being bowled by Mukhtar. Chris Barr was bowled Mohsin for 13 (2 fours) and Alan then called in the team after 13.3 overs of the allocated 14. The total of 174-2 seemed to be enough and the light was not going to hold for too long.
The Fenham reply started with a flurry. Mukhtar hit 27 off the first over from Martin and then new recruit Tony Burns went for 12. martin pulled it back with only 9 coming off his second over and a catch by Shaun netting the important wicket of Mukhtar. Then Tony went for 11 and 11 to complete with 3-0-34-0. Don came on to calm it down. He took 3-19 off four overs and even Shaun was impressed; he also took 2 more catches (for Don) and got MoM! Chris Barr was turning the ball at the other end and bowled well with 3-0-26-3. Martin returned to take two more wickets one bowled and one smartly caught at the wicket by Alan. Martin achieved the more respectable 3-0-42-3. Cometh the hour, Aiders was asked to bowl the last over of the season and he confirmed his top bowling spot with a scintillating 3 ball spell: dot, dot, bowled! All this time, Alan had stood firm behing the wicket, taking most of the quite varied bowling that came through to him and the power throws in from James in particular. As ever Roy and Brian fielded well. Fenham were all out for 127.
Rowlands finished the League season as Champions with 116 points
