Safeguarding and DBS Clearances

There is a minimum Safeguarding requirement for membership of the league that all clubs must have in place before the playing season a fully qualified Safeguarding Officer.

There are further pressures being brought to bear that captains and other officials should also have DBS clearances in place. NB the DBS process is FREE for volunteers and there is an optional free update facility. It is recommended that each registered team Captain has DBS clearance and ensures a DBS cleared person is present for each game.

Minutes of Management Committee Meeting Nov 9th

The MC meeting set the scene for the 2022 season and several proposals will be recommended to the AGM on MONDAY 7th Feb. (avoiding a clash with NUFC home game).

Mandatory umpires are proposed for Division 1.

NB it will be essential for all clubs to have in place a qualified Safeguarding Officer before any play can proceed. Courses are announced on the Cricket Board Websites.

Teams are requested to confirm soonest their intentions for next season and Registration Forms will be issued in early January.

Management Committee (MC) Meeting

The meeting will be held at Jesmond CC on Tuesday 9th November from 7pm with attendance from those named in the Calling Notice plus any other members who give prior notice that they are interested in joining the MC.

All clubs are requested to reconfirm their commitment to the 2022 season. Registration forms will be circulated in early January.
