We wish to update you with the latest information we have available in relation to the government guidance on travel in and out of North Tyneside. From a cricket perspective there is nothing in the national guidance that says cricket cannot continue indoor and outdoor which has been confirmed in line with the ECB's guidance. This in addition to the information below from North Tyneside public health reiterates to clubs and leagues to be vigilant now more than ever on covid safety measures, making sure the social gathering limits off field, sanitisation protocols and contract tracing steps.
25 May 2021 - 9:34am:
Wendy Burke, Director of Public Health for North Tyneside, said: “Last Wednesday it was announced in Parliament that North Tyneside, along with five other areas in England, would be subject to enhanced testing and vaccinations.
“When the announcement was made there was no indication it would come with any additional guidance for North Tyneside or the other areas.
“We understand that, later, government guidance around travel in and out of North Tyneside was posted on the government website. This has not been accompanied by any communication to the Local Authority, local residents or businesses.
“We have already queried this with the Department of Health and Social Care to seek clarification.
“We will continue to work with government on our enhanced testing and vaccination plan which is now in place.”
Games at Matfen and Cowgate defied the rain yesterday with Blue Flames beating Whitley and Kirkwood beating Eelam Boys in the Cup.

Ridiculous weather this week but don't give up trying! Hopefully we can catch up with the League, Cup and Plate programme soonest.
