Registrations Reminder; News and Ground Available

Happy 2016 to all and a reminder that Registrations and fees of £45 per team are now invited before or at the AGM on 2nd Feb.

News is that applications are anticipated from Matfen, Felling and Bates Cottages CCs with Fenham Falcons still considering whether to apply.

Amy at blueflames.amy@googlemail.com invites applications for any teams wishing to apply to use Blue Flames ground which is currently available for hire.

Registering for 2016 by AGM 2nd February

Please find attached the calling notice for the AGM. Registration Forms may be downloaded from the available Datasheets section of the website and should be submitted with League Fees of £45 before or at the AGM.

Remaining teams who have not yet been in contact during the close season please, at least, confirm your intention to participate in 2016. Draft fixtures are being prepared.

Advice from ECB on Helmets

ECB has announced new safety measures for helmets within professional and recreational cricket. See attached.
ECB is recommending that all recreational cricketers wear helmets which meet the latest British safety standard from next season. The use of protective headgear is already mandatory for all Under 18s within the recreational game. Full details and amended regulations will be published in the New Year.

Minutes of the Management Committee Meeting

A meeting was held on 17th November to prepare for the AGM on 2nd February and set the scene for the 2016 season. The minutes are attached.

Several clubs have not yet reconfirmed their intention to continue in 2016 so please send a message to donc@blueyonder.co.uk The usual address is not fully functional at present.

Registration Forms will be issued in December.
