Stargazing Opportunity at Muddy Boots, Ingram

Our latest confirmed sponsor, Muddy Boots Cafe of Ingram has arranged with Nastro (The Northumberland Astronomical Society) to hold a special evening in the village there on Saturday 25th January 5pm to 10pm.

This will include a lecture and extended opening hours for the cafe where you can still claim your free cup of coffee on your first visit to the cafe. Just mention NEMWCL! Not all will be lost if the skies are not clear; there are some contingency plans.

Information for AGM 5th February

Happy 2014 to all our members and supporters.

The information for the AGM was attached (updated 5th Feb) and all clubs are requested to submit their Registration Forms before or at the AGM. Proposed Law changes will be voted on. Included also is a brief survey on three points concerning the future direction of the league.

Note: Genetics and Mitford are not relegated as Divisions 2 and 3 were already one team short last season.

Fixtures Wanted by Touring Side

Tanworth CC are looking for two fixtures: Sunday 25th and Bank Holiday Monday 26th of August.

A little bit of background of the club, Tanworth In Arden CC, play in the Cotswold Hills league 1st Division running 3 teams in the league on a Saturday and will be taking a mix of ability on tour. We are booked in at the Hilton Gateshead on the Sunday/Monday so anywhere within 45min drive would be ideal.

Tanworth will of course contribute towards the costs of teas etc. and will provide match balls. We will also be looking to socialise after the game!

Management Committee Meeting 19th November

The meeting will be at Blue Flames SC for members and invited new volunteers to the Management Committee. Would all clubs please reconfirm their League membership intentions for 2014 soonest in order that draft fixtures can be compiled.

Division 5 is expected to include some exciting new clubs depending on their successful applications at the AGM on 5th February.

Looking Forward to the 2014 Season

The end of Season Meeting on 6th September was well attended and there are now no outstanding fines so all teams are eligible for the 2014 season. We have also welcomed Morpeth CC and City Sharks as new members.

Since the meeting, Morpeth have CANCELLED their application but Bedlington CC, Boldon CC, Chopwell CC and Littletown CC have all applied to join a revitalised Division 5. Their membership requires attendance and endorsement at the AGM, tentatively set at Wednesday 5th February.

It would be helpful to the Management Committee, who will meet in November to set the scene for 2014, if any current clubs who will not continue in 2014 could give as much notice as possible. Written comments on league matters for consideration by the MC are also invited and new volunteers for the MC please step forward!
