Newsletter 24_09

(Posted On Sun 23 June, 2024)

The Newsletter is now finalised following decisions made at the Management Committee meeting on Friday 21st June.

There is an urgency to arrange the imminent cup and plate ties as soon as possible to enable these competitions to be completed on Finals Day, 16th August. There is certainly congestion on several grounds and perhaps alternative venues should be sought, if at all possible.

Resignation of Merz & McLellan: Newsletter24_05

(Posted On Fri 24 May, 2024)

Merz & McLellan have resigned their membership owing to lack of sufficient core players despite best efforts to regenerate.

This marks a sad end for the one remaining founder member of the League stretching back to the early 70s.

For various reasons Merz have not played any matches so far this season and NE Tamils will be deemed winners of the first round cup tie with a bye resulting in the first round of the Plate.

A few players from Merz will no doubt be welcomed into new teams and the Management Committee wish all involved, including the grounds-staff at Ulgham, a good future.

Results and status attached after another mixed week of games played and cancellations.
