Ground Hog Day

You've guessed it due to adverse weather, tonight's game has been called off ! All being well the Park House bandwaggon rolls into Belmont Monday and Hylton Wednesday.

This unwelcome break has though allowed plenty of time for those injured players to regain fitness and given skipper Dawson his first real selection problem in picking his best XI from the squad below.

Squad: Dawson J, Dawson K, Pearce, Dures, Cawthra, Gardner, Crowe, Jackson, Reeder, Hearne, Bandeen P, Bandeen P, Gilchrist, Jackson, Gurkin.

Fingers crossed for sunny days.

PHCC match at New Hartley off because of rain. gives us all a chance to catch up with the Ashes.

Fixtures Backlog

Players will need to draw on all their stamina with there being a punishing schedule of 4 games over the next 2 weeks. next week (w/c 20 July) sees PHCC away to Oceans and then home to Stocksfield followed by trips to Belmont and Hylton the week after.
With skipper Dawson still having a host of injuries to deal with now is the time for the youngsters to step up to the party, bowl in the right areas and take the positives from their games.

The appalling July weather continues to disrupt PHCC's attemptys to rediscover form and return to winning ways with tonight's game against Oceans being called off.

As well as worries over match practice, sources close to skipper John Dawson reveal his private concerns about the injury situation with at least 6 team members recuparating and being some way off to a return.

Games next week 16 July at Hartley and possibly a rearranged match on 13.

Friday Night Washout

Heavy rain during the week led to Friday's game against Belmont being called off. The extra few days rest before the next game on Tuesday should give time for injured players to get match fit. This though will lead to a selection headache for skipper Dawson. With a full squad to pick from, what will the starting XI be ?
