Genetics played Davipart on a lovely warm Sunday afternoon (it was only 27) at West Wylam. Armed with 7 bowlers, and putting Davipart in to bat, Genetics set about containing the Davipart batsmen. Some tight bowling, and 40 overs later, Davipart had grafted 152 for 7. Allie Douglas, Brian Taylor, and Davy Heslop managed to each take 2 wickets. In reply, Genetics set about attacking the Davipart bowling and although wickets fell regularly, the scoring was so rapid, that the total was reached in the 28th over. Andrew Porteous made an aggressive (if chancy) 55, being particularly harsh on the spinners, while Jonty Tarbuck made an excellent unbeaten 36, and Gez chipped in with 22.
