Big lads do the Bizzz!!! – for Yaars... its carnage!!!

Beefy and Oaksy rolled back the ‘tids’ all 50 stone of them, picking up 7-23 between them. Fantastic performances seen..B 'swing king' Vedhara pick up 4-11 and C 'speedmaster' Oakes 3-12 blow away Gemy for 49 in 11 overs.

Yaars completed the game in 3.6 overs...scoring 50 for 2, K Khan bowled the two yaars openers giving gemy a glimmer of hope, Khan finishing with 2 over 2 for 28....Young Zain batted well with his Old-man 'Big' Billy Ahmed who blasted a quick fire 22no to see the Yaars home.
Max pts yaars 10 pts : Gemy 0pts.

Civil Service v Yaars at Blue Flame = (Monday 4th August – league rearranged game)

Yaars v Civil Service at Heaton Medical (Thursday 7th August – league fixture)

TWFS v Yaars at Gateshead Fell (Monday 11th August - final league fixture)

Zak is also currently speaking to Seaton Burn / Newcastle University re R3 cup fixture to be played at Heaton Medical. Hopefully, we should have that sorted for next week, possibly Friday 8th August 2008 (to be confirmed).


YAARS put out the Tyne and Wear Fire!!!!

DC does it again.....

TWFS won the toss and decided to Bat, Opener collins batted well for a well deserved 28, Yaars fought back with Omar Ahmed 3-14 and Neel Chatterjee claiming 2-12.
The fireman spirit come firefighting back as Hamil 29no and Warney 14 Aussie Accent) took the firemen to 107 for 7 in 14 overs.

Yaars replied courtesy of DC and Haji the 333 @2 sparring partners = 666.
DC blasted a quickfire 55, with some lusty blows....Haji Saqib chipped in with a cultured 22no and the Big Lad Beefy (also the size of a fire engine) blasted himself back into form taking 23 off one over - 2 MASSIVE 6's (just like em) and 2 classical Sachin cover drives (unlike him).....Well done, Big Fella!!! - He's Back!!!
Yaars completed their innings of 110 for 2 in 8.1 overs.

Seaton 'Burnt' by the Yaars - Naveed DC on fire!!!! 24/07/08

Yaars 156 for 6 (14 overs)
YAARS won toss and batted first, Naveed 'DC' Iqbal 71 got the Yaars off to a flying start, DC was on fire.....Seaton Burns Ellis then applied the brakes, 4-37, Yaars knocked on with Alvi chipping in with a quick 22, and Big Billy'o' added a quickfire 23no.

Surj 3-11 opened the bowling picking up an early wicket followed up by 'Chootay' aka Littla, who bowled like the wind (the smelly f*rt), 4-27, ...Captain Berty 'had asked his team to play like 'cornered tigers' - going all out attack he decided to go with 4 slips and 2 gullies at one stage. A quick change and Neel 2-7, polished off the tail....Great game, great atmosphere, and great result. Well done to all!!
