Yaars batted first Naveed and Imran opened with the decent partnership of 88, Naveed hauled out on 49, closely folled by Imran (40), Big Was (0) payed a brief visit to the wicket, 'spent a penny' i.e. one ball and returned promptly. Father and son combination, 'Billy' Ahmed and Zayn built a decent 4th wicket partnership of 50+, Zayn (27) with some classical strokeplay outshining is 'old-man'Billy (30)....Neel came to the crease and smashed a quickfire 24no for Yaars to close on 178 in 14 overs.
Civil Service struggled to keep up with the run rate as Craig Oakes turned the screw bowling particularly well for his 3-17. There was a show of great fielding with Big Beefy taking two great catches, two for Billy Ahmed, and one for Shahsy....T Davisdon batted well for a well crafted 30no, K George picked up the mom for the CS with a decent batting display finishing on 28 and taking the team to a respectable total. Reehan bowled well to pick up 2-22 in his three overs. Civil Servants finished their innings on 102 for 9 in their 14 overs.
