This course is designed to give people new to scoring the knowledge and confidence to have a go at scoring in cricket. No prior experience of scoring is required before attending the course.
Whether you plan to support junior softball cricket or a hard ball game, this course will cover the following topics:

Understanding the role of the Scorer
Recognise umpire signals and what they mean for scoring
Gain an understanding of both paper and electronic scoring
Understand how to end the game and identify results correctly
Have an awareness of safeguarding responsibilities whilst scoring.
The course is all completed online and can be completed all in one go or broken up into small bitesize amounts that suit your needs and schedule.

To gain your certificate, you must complete all of the online learning. There is no cost for this course and all scorers will be offered free membership to join the Association of Cricket Officials via the online learning platform on completion.
